As we enter the season of Advent, families at St. Vincent’s are joining us in the hopeful anticipation of the birth of Jesus.
Throughout Advent, families will receive an Advent prayer bag from school to come together to remember the story of the Nativity, and pray for a hopeful, peaceful and joyous Advent at home.
All the contents are stored inside a zipped bag. Please ensure everything goes back into the back so nothing gets lost as these bags travel from home to home. Inside your bag you will find:
Nativity Story book
Purple cloth
A cross
Velvet bag containing candles and pebbles
Advent Prayer Bag guide
(the contents is slightly different for EYFS)
This prayer bag will help you to spend more time praying and growing closer to God and Jesus.
Coming together as a family, reading the Nativity story and praying will help prepare you for Advent and the busy time before we gather for Christmas.
