What an exciting week it’s been in Year 2! We’ve been busy with lots of learning and even a surprise trip! Here’s a look at all the fun things we did:
In Maths, we worked on word problems. At first, they seemed tricky, but we soon figured out how to break them down step by step. Everyone worked hard and felt really proud when they solved the problems.
In English, we’ve been reading the amazing book Hotel Flamingo. This week, we worked through chapters one by one, doing fun written activities based on each chapter.
In History, we learned all about Mary Seacole. She was a brave and caring woman who helped soldiers during the Crimean War. We were amazed by her kindness and how she helped so many people when they were sick or hurt. She showed us how important it is to be kind and helpful to others.
And guess what? We had a surprise trip down to Year 6! They wrote us letters in the voice of Saint Paul, and they read them out loud to us. Each Year 2 student got a letter. It was so nice to visit them and it really made our day very special.
What a fantastic week of learning and fun! Can’t wait to see what we’ll do next week!
