Please see the attached list of Tricky Words that your child is learning in class. The words are not decodable therefore they need to be taught by sight. It is useful if your child reads and writes these words little and often. The list of Tricky Words are also stuck in their homework books for your reference.
If your child writes any words, sentences/stories independently using their phonics and/or Tricky Words please bring them into school to show the Reception team. We would love to see them!

Please see images of Phase 2, Phase 3 and Phase 4 sound mats. Each child has their own sound mat (identical to the pictures) to use in class. Next week every child will take home a sound mat to support their reading and writing at home.
