19th ST VINCENT DE PAUL CHARITY BIKE RIDE

A “Quietway” to Greenwich and along the Thames River

St Vincent’s Cyclists and Parents are Invited to join in for 10 kilometres (or more)

The ride leaves St James’s Spanish Place at 0900. We will cycle as a group along the recently opened “Quietway” to Greenwich, about 10 kilometres, where free drinks and snacks will be provided. Some riders will then return by train to Charing Cross.

Others will follow paths by the Thames to Gravesend, about 40 kilometres. Lunch will be provided there. Families and friends are welcome to come, by car or rail/bus, for the picnic, near the burial site of Princess Pocohantas (of Disney fame). Cyclists are able to return by train to St Pancras from nearby Ebbsfleet on the Olympics high speed trains.

Cyclists will be escorted by a support van carrying water, first aid supplies and refreshments. All cyclists must wear helmets and are expected to raise at least £25 towards the costs of the twice weekly Soup Run in central London by

St. Vincent De Paul Society (Registered Charity No. 1053992).

Bikes and helmets can be rented close to the London start if needed.
