Recently in Year 3 we have been learning about the Ascension and Pentecost.
Firstly we learnt about the Ascension of Jesus.We read Acts 1: 6-11 and then explored The Ascension in Christian art focusing on the colours different artists had used to represent energy. Afterwards, we had a go ourselves depicting the Ascension using paint!
We also learnt about Pentecost and explored Acts 2: 1-18. We then thought about how we could show that we too were filled with the Holy Spirit, we looked Paul’s letter to the Galatians and learnt about the 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit. We then made spinners to remember the energy of the Holy Spirit, took them on the roof to feel the power of the wind and then ended with a prayer focus.
