Stop it!
Walk faster!
Close the door!
Watch this video to help you learn more.
When you write instructions, you use command sentences or bossy verbs.
Thank you to all of those who have sent in your English writing so far, I will put your pictures up tomorrow in the Published writing blog.
Good morning Miss Travers, 14th May
This is how we play the Golden River game.
First you choose someone to be in the middle.
Then everyone aks the question ‘can we cross the golden river?’
Next the person in the middle answers if you are wearing blue for my example.
Then whoever is wearing blue has to run fast without the person getting you!
Remember you will need lots of space!
Remember do not cheat!
Well done Jacob! Great that you have used bossy verbs! You have also used exclamation marks and question marks too!
Good morning Miss Travers,
This is how you play “what’s in the box?”. First, put ten objects in the box! Remember to pick ten very different objects. Then go in a circle! Ask someone to knock on the box. After, ask her or him to pick a toy in the box. Finally, ask your friend to guess what the object is. Remember that the one who picked the object at the beginning cannot be the one who guesses during the game, otherwise it is too easy! This game is even funnier when you have more people playing.
Super writing Gabrielle! Well done! Well done for using bossy verbs and lots of punctuation!
Good morning Miss Travers!
This is how you play Golden river.
First, one will be the farmer and the others all stand in a line on one side of the playground. Then, they all chant, “Farmer Farmer ??? can we cross the golden river? The farmer ??? will reply, for example, “only if you’re something pink”. After that, those who fit the description are allowed to walk across to the other side. The farmer then tries to catch the others who have to run across. Remember to run ??♀️ as fast as you can. Anyone who is caught joins the farmer ???.

This is how we play 1, 2, 3, sunshine!
First, we find a tree.
Then, we choose someone who stands in front of the tree and does not look behind.
Then the others have to stand together a few meters away from the tree.
Once everyone is ready, the person near the tree says 1, 2, 3, sunshine and while the person near the tree says 1, 2, 3, sunshine the other persons have to move.
After, when the porson near the tree turns and look at you, you need to freeze before the counter sees you moving. Don’t move!
If he sees you move, you have to go back to the start.
Finally, if you reach the tree, it is your turn to be in front of the tree.
Remember you need to not move.
Remember you can’t cheat.

After you try to make up as many words as you can using the letters you have, each time you have a turn, you get a new letter.
Finally whoever makes up the most words gets the most points and they are the winner.

First, you have to put a goal in a pitch or grass. Then you have to get a ball, your mum or dad or your family has to be a goalkeeper. A goalkeeper is someone who stays on the goal so the ball doesn’t get in the goal also there are 5 players in each side. Players are people who score or defend their goal. Finally, you score a goal!
Remember you need to use your feet, only the goalkeeper can use his hands.
