Hello Class 4!
Just when I think you can’t get any more brilliant you all surprise me with your fantastic work! A very big well done to you all for not giving up. I know online learning is hard but you are all doing so well! I hope you are still enjoying The Tempest and tomorrow we will do another fun exciting writing task but today is Wednesday and that means… Spellings!
Please remember to continue to go through the spellings of the previous blogs to make sure you don’t forget those!
Below is your list of spelling words for this week:
1.) Please practise these at home in your yellow home learning book. You could write them in your book using look, cover, say and write. Or you could read the list of words and ask someone at home to test you on them.
2.) On the blog, write a definition for two of these words.
3.) On the blog write two sentences using two different words from the list.
Top Tip: Sometimes making up short rhymes or silly phrases helps us to remember spelling of words. For example, when I was at school, lots of people spelt ‘separate’ like this: ‘seperate’ because it has that ‘er’ sound in the middle.
So my teacher told us ‘there is a rat in separate’ because in the middle of the word… sep-a-rat-e there is in fact, a rat!
Challenge:
Can you write a whole paragraph using all of these spelling words? You will have to think very carefully about your sentences to ensure they are cohesive and make sense!
I look forward to reading your work!
The same as always, you can write this on the blog or in your yellow Home Learning Book… the choice is yours!
From Miss Lee 🙂
