Good Morning Year 2!
On Tuesday, you found out lots of interesting information about the lives of Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole. Today, I’d like you to turn all these facts into an online poster. Use the links from Tuesday’s blog if you want to do more research. This website is a safe picture search website that you can use.
First, you need to log into J2e.com, click on the red LGfL button and then use your USO log in and password which you can find in your Home Learning Packs.
Then, you can decide which program to use.
- J2e5 is a poster making program, where you can insert pictures from the internet, draw some of your own and include lots of words and sentences. You can then edit each part individually to change the size and colour to make it look pretty!
- Jit5 is slightly more simple. You click on the write tab at the top and then choose one picture as your background (you can insert your own one) before writing your facts underneath.
Whichever one you choose, make sure you save it when it is finished. I will then be able to log on to the teacher section and see all your amazing work. I’ll save a copy of your posters on the blog so everyone can see them.
Please share any ideas you had or helpful tips on the blog so that you can help your friends to make their posters even better.
If you have any questions, then ask them on the blog and I’ll try to answer them.
I am looking forward to seeing all your posters. Happy St George’s day.
Hello Miss I completed my work and uploaded it.
Dear miss Carruthers,
I have finished this blog and I found it is VERY hard to use that app for making posters. We tried many times but then I finally finished!
Dear miss Carruthers, I’ve done the computing lesson, but I’m not sure if it has been saved properly as I got an error message. Thank you, Bo
Hi Bo, I’m really sorry but I couldn’t see your work. If you want to have another go then let me know and hopefully it won’t take too long.
We’re a bit later today, but we made it in the end.
Wonderful posters everyone! If anyone else manages to create one, then leave me a comment on here so that I know to go and check your J2e account and then I can put them on the blog as well.
Hi Miss Carruthers .I finished the poster today.
Thanks for letting me know – I’ve added it to the photos above. You had found out so much that I had to save it as two photos! Well done!
I liked doing the posters miss. Can you do more things like that?
I’m glad you enjoyed it! I’ll make sure we do some more computing activities.
I love your posters everyone. Well done!
