Good morning Year 6!
In computer graphics, turtle graphics are vector graphics using a relative cursor (the “turtle”) upon a Cartesian plane. Turtle graphics is a key feature of the Logo programming language.
Programming is a form of problem-solving. It involves locating your problem, analysing it, designing a framework for the solution, writing the actual code for it, testing your algorithm, and, finally, writing a documentation for it.
Please have a look at this: Turtle Graphics: Intro
and then carefully watch this: Turtle Graphic: Loops.
When you are done creating the loops and practising what is in the video instructions, you can experiment!
You can try it out by clicking here: Python LGFL
I have circled in blue the bits that you can move down (as shown with arrows) then you can type in the boxes and when you are done you just click ‘Run!’
Year 6, please make sure you watch the video tutorials before beginning as they will explain how to use the programme.
Let us know how you find it and what you manage to create! You could take a ‘Screenshot’ of what you create and send it to us via the Homework Uploader for the attention of Miss Carruthers.
Have fun!
This sounds like good fun!
Let us know how it goes 🙂
