Today’s task: Find three objects (or people!) in your home and compare them using  the language, ‘taller than’ and ‘shorter than.’

Remember that ‘tall’ describes the height of objects that stand up like person or a tower and ‘long’ describes the length of objects that don’t stand up like scarves and snakes.

    I chose Harold, the helicopter, a railway signal and a bridge from my train set. The helicopter is shorter than the bridge. The helicopter is shorter than the signal. The bridge is taller than these two (Nicolas means the signal and the helicopter). The signal is a little taller than the helicopter. The signal is shorter than the bridge.

    I chose a gorilla, a fish and a crocodile. The gorilla is the tallest and is taller than the fish and the crocodile. The crocodile is the shortest and is shorter than the gorilla and the fish.

    I also chose a power popper gun, a pipe cleaner and a mushroom. The gun is the longest and is longer than the pipe cleaner and the mushroom. The mushroom is the shortest and is shorter than the gun and the pipe cleaner.

    Heloise is taller than me. Baby is the smallest. Mice are even shorter than babies.
