Good morning Year 6! Welcome to your Daily SPAG Challenge-your last one in March!
Today we will be looking at Pronouns
A pronoun is a word used in place of a noun. Pronouns help you avoid writing the same noun over and over again. Look at this example:
Emily lent Emily’s skateboard to Emily’s Dad.
It sounds better if you use the pronoun ‘her’ rather than repeating Emily’s name all the time.
Emily lent her skateboard to her Dad.

Make sure the meaning is clear (who is doing what?)
‘He was sure she was trying to kill him. When she bought him it, he wondered if it was poisoned’.
In this example, it is not clear who the people are or what has been poisoned.
Task one- in the comments below, write out the two sentences above and make it clear who and what the pronouns stand for.
Task two-In your Home Learning book, write out the sentences below using pronouns to avoid repetition.
