Good Morning Year 2!
Click here for a printable version of this blog post: English Friday printable
Today, you are going to finish off your thank you cards and messages that you may have started yesterday.
Try to remember to write in your neatest handwriting. When you decorate it, try to make it neat and colourful. You can draw pictures, or use patterns, or do both!
Remember to write more than just 2 sentences in your card!
If you have more than one person to thank, then feel free to do more!
Some of you sent in your finished cards yesterday. Remember to go back and see if there is a way to make it even better before you decide that it is finished.
If you want, you could ask your parents if you can post your cards to whoever you have written to. If it is someone in your house, donβt forget to give it to them!
Please take a photo of your finished cards and letters so that we can see your beautiful work.
I gave the card to my grandma and she loved it.

I decided to write an email to my Grandma instead of to my sister.
Dear Grandma,
Thank you for sending me the cheque last week. I am looking forward to taking it to the bank and putting it into my bank account. I might decide to save up for a Nintendo Switch. I’m also hoping to get a mobile of the solar system for my bedroom.
I would like to come and visit you and Grandpa soon, but I don’t know when that will happen, but I think it won’t happen for a while. I’ve been missing seeing you, even though I’ve been speaking to you on the phone.
Love Rex xxx
How very modern of you to do an email instead of an old fashioned letter!!
Well done for giving clear reasons for why you are thanking your Grandma and using lots of conjunctions to extend your sentences π
What a special letter Finley π I’m glad you and Adrien can talk on the phone and play games. It will be so nice when we can all see each other properly again.
I gave this to Nadine because she is my best friend and sheβs always there for me. We were best friends for a long time!
How lovely π
