Here are my answers to the comprehension questions
1. Dwelling means a house.
2. Ferdinand was the one who carried the logs.
3. I think he’s working hard because it said in the text that he ONLY paused to ‘Wipe the sweat on his brow’.
4. Because he gets to see Miranda every day.
5. Miranda came running out the house.

B. To check incase if Prospero is watching them.
C. Because Miranda thought that Prospero will be in the study for
3 hours.
8. Prospero is secretly watching whilst Ferdinand and Miranda are talking.

Here are my answers for the comprehension;
Comprehension:
1) A dwelling is a house.
2) Ferdinand was carrying logs.
3) We know that he was working hard because in the text it says,” Pausing only to wipe the sweat from his brow” This tells us that he only stopped his work to wipe the sweat.
4) Ferdinand was happy to be a slave because he could see Miranda once a day.
5) Miranda came running out of the house.
6a) Asked and urged could be used instead of begged.
6b) I think that she gives another backwards glance to make sure that nobody is watching. I think this because this is a ‘secret’ meeting.
6c) I think that she means that he won’t come out of his cave for three hours.
7) Prospero is watching them secretly whilst Miranda and Ferdinand are talking.
8) Prospero is not cross. In the text it says,” …and smiled.” This tells us that he is not cross but happy.
9) The logs seem light to him now because he is used to carrying logs.

I have watched the video and done the quiz. Now I know that I understand part four.
Comprehension:
1) A dwelling is a type of house made out of wood. They are normally found in deserted islands.
2) It was Ferdinand who lifted the logs.
3) I know that Ferdinand was working very hard because in the text it says, ” Pausing only to wipe the sweat of his brow. ”
4) Ferdinand was happy to be Prospero’s slave because then Prospero would accept for him to see his daughter Miranda.
5) It was Miranda which ran out of the cave; where she lives.
6 a- The to words that can replace begged is asked and urged.
b- Miranda gives Ferdinand another backward glance because she wants him really to stop working so hard and sit down next to him.
c- ” He’s safe for three hours ‘means that he will not get out of his dwelling for a long time (three hours).
7) While Ferdinand and Miranda are talking, Prospero is very secretly spying on them without one of the children spotting him.
8) Prospero is not angry. I know this because in the text it says,” and sighed, and smiled.

I think Prospero is the most important because he is the rightful Duke of Milan, and got over thrown by his cunning brother. He also got sent to an island with his daughter Miranda. He is a very powerful wizard.
