Click here for a printable version of this blogpost: English Monday printable

I hope you all had a wonderful half term holiday and managed to enjoy the sunshine!

Today all the staff are back at school, trying to make the school safe for when children are allowed back. This means that I won’t be able to approve or respond to your comment straight away – but please still post! I can’t wait to read all your work when we’re finished at school.

I’m sure many of you did lots of reading, don’t forget to update our Reading Blog so that we can all share the exciting stories.

Over the next three weeks, we will be looking at a non-fiction book called ’50 Ways to Feel Happy’. The QR code and pdf extract have all the pages we will need for these three weeks so you don’t need to read it all today! Look carefully at the page numbers in the top corner of the pages – today you just have to read the Contents page and Page 4-7.

Use a tablet to scan the QR code below or click on this link to read it as a pdf: 50 Ways to be Happy extract

Once you’ve read the Contents page have a go at these questions:

Now you can read the next four pages (pages 4-7) and answer the questions below:

*For the new words question, try to find at least 2 new words – can you write a definition to explain what these words mean?
