    Words I don’t know

    *droughts = very dry not enough rain
    *biodiversity = different types of animals
    *mudflow = mud river destroys everything in its way when there are no trees.

    Challenge

    Why are trees SOOO important for life on Earth?

    a]They give us air, wood, paper, fruit but animals don’t need them to survive.
    b]They are so important for us for when we go to the park they give us shade if it is a very warm day.
    c] They give us oxygen, paper, wood and fruit and also give homes to animals.
    d]They give us just the resources for paper and wood so we can cut them down whenever.

    I forgot to do a couple of questions so here they are.

    The main message of the text is to teach people about that we need to change our ways so we don’t put animals, nature or people in danger.

    I think the author is trying to make the reader think that we need to change our ways and help those humans, animals and plants.

    To determine the age of a tree – you have to cut horizontally through the trunk, and count the rings inside – the number of rings determines the number of years??
