This week we have continued reading Mr Majeika and completed some grammar, spelling and handwriting exercises. During the grammar task, you worked on using adjectives and similes to describe. Today you will have the opportunity to apply these to your writing.
Today’s English focus is:
Writing
As it is bank holiday tomorrow, this will be our only writing blog this week. You will post your finished pieces today. Complete your writing either on the blog or in your yellow book. You can send a photo today of your finished writing pieces and I will add them to the gallery on the blog. I will give you some feedback when you have finished your writing.

Good effort Reuben, could you expand on your sentence ‘he looks like quite an old man’ why? You could use lots of description here. Remember to check back over your writing and correct any mistakes.
Mr Majeika has a colorful magic carpet that can fly as fast as a cheetah. he has a bright blue bow and green pants that match with his blazer. Mr Majeika is also very polite and he always wears his fragile round glasses that he always puts on top of his nose to see better. He is pretty old and has hair as white as snow. His flying carpet is as soft as a bear’s fur and he can easily turn a ruler into a snake to scare people.

Really Louis! Wow, lucky you! Have you finished the book we were reading? I love the stories, they are fun aren’t they!
Mr Majeika has glasses shaped like scientist glasses (not safety goggles). He has a grey, bushy beard and a light blue bow tie. He is responsible but a little bit funny. He’s old and he is as wise as an owl. He flew in on his colourful, magical, comfy carpet.

Mr Majeika is a very pleasant person, with hair growing on his head like grass in a meadow. He wears glasses as round as a fine circle. The costume he wears is a very bright type of green. When Mr Majeika sees someone sad or depressed he always brings joy to them just like a puppy who’d found his toy again! Mr Majeika looks very old and people think he is about 90! In fact he might be 90. His talent is doing magic to help people when they don’t feel ok.

Mr Majeika looks like an old man with a beard and bright eyes. He has a Magic carpet that is a very colourful carpet and is as fast as cheetah. He wears glasses with a thin lens. He is so clever at magic that when he says chips the chips just appear! It is a very bad spell but very easy.

Description
Mr Majeika has a beard and a dark green jacket. He has a red nose and big, round glasses. Mr Majeika looks like a kind and a caring magician, he looks short and a bit plump. Mr Majeika has magic powers because he is flying on a magic carpet. He looks like an old fashioned gentleman with the blue bow. He also has quite messy hair but he looks happy and calm with his smile.

Mr Majeika has a detailed magic carpet which turns into a spectacular, unique bicycle! Mr Majeika has a long white pointy beard, it’s so long he can get tangled in it sometimes. His eyes are as blue as the sea and his eyes are as shiny as a seashell which is washed up by the sea. His glasses are as round as a pizza, and his round glasses are helpful because he can’t see well without them.

The new teacher at St.Barty’s Primary school is called Mr Majeika.
Mr Majeika dresses quite smartly, his suit is green and he wears a blue bow tie, unfortunately his shoes are scruffy. His hair is whisky and he wears old fashioned spectacles. Although Mr Majeika appears slightly odd, I think he is talented, helpful and slightly clumsy. Mr Majeika is a magnificent wizard and can even turn people into frogs!

High up in the sky, on a powerful carpet, sat a very short man that had a blue,tiny bow and spaghetti hair. He had blue eyes that looked like the ocean. His name was Mr Majeika. Mr Majeika was a very crazy, nice and clever teacher. He was 40 years old and had circle glasses. Mr Majieka had a clever magic carpet that was flat like a pancake but clever like an scientist. It also had colourful patterns and was red and blue.

Mr. Majeika has shiny blue eyes and a pair of glasses that are transparent. He has a green coat and trousers that are as green as grass and a white T-shirt. He has a blue bow tie like the sky and a giant big smile on his face. He has brown shoes like chocolate and his grey hair looks like an elephant. He has a magic carpet that no one else has. It is fascinating! It has so many wonderful designs on it like crowns, snakes, frogs and flying bottles.

In the school there is a teacher who has big round glasses, old fashioned clothes and he rides on a colourful carpet as colourful as a rainbow. He looks old with not that much hair and wears a bow tie that looks like candy. He is clumsy,energetic, joyful and silly. He is thoughtful, pleasant and also as nice as a mum. His name is Mr. Majeika.
