Today all the staff are back at school, trying to make the school safe for when children are allowed back. This means that I won’t be able to approve or respond to your comment straight away – but please still post! I can’t wait to read all your work when we’re finished at school.
This week we are going to be recapping some Maths concepts that we did at the very beginning of the year. These are important ones to know really well and help us in every other area of Maths. I think it is very likely that we have done these worksheets in your workbooks. Please try to have another go using the blank worksheets on the website and writing the answers on paper. The best part though, is now that we are more confident with it, we can apply what we know and have a go at fun problems and challenges!
Today we are using our greater than and less than signs. Do you remember our crocodiles?
They are ALWAYS hungry and want to eat the biggest number! Remember to put their open mouth towards the bigger number so that they can eat it!
Have a go at worksheet 3. Once you have done it, there are some other activities you can try:
This BBC Bitesize lesson gives you more games and activities to practise working out the bigger or smaller number.
This White Rose Maths lesson will give you a reminder of what we have been over, and then a change to use the signs in a calculation. Click here to go to the home page, and then go to Summer Term Week 3 Lesson 2 for the full lesson and video. Click here to go straight to the worksheet.
I already done this
Well done – did you try the White Rose activity?
I liked doing this activity.
