I am really looking forward to learning about the Mayan civilisation. The Mayas built fascinating temples and cities such as Yax Mutal, Palenque and Chichen Itza. Mayan children had very different lives to today, they dressed in a different way and their homes were much smaller.
The Mayas were experts at reading the stars . Their cities were built like a map of the stars.

High in the Andes Mountains lies the ruined city of Machu Pitchu . It was built by the Incas who ruled the western part of the continent from about 1400 to 1530 .The city contains the ruins of many stone buildings such as temples ,storerooms and palaces.

The Mayans invented a God for the corn because it was the most important food .They also had chocolate and beans.
They loved stars and sky that they studied a lot.
They built incredible temples.
They were great at sport too. They played a game like football.
Mayas were very intelligent people.
