Today we are going to develop our singing skills!

1. First of all we are going to learn about melody and pitch.
What are melody and pitch?
Melody is the tune. It’s the part of the music that you sing along with.
Pitch is how high or low a note sounds.
A melody is made up of high and low pitched notes played one after the other. Catchy melodies often repeat the same series of notes over and over.

2. Singing warm up
We are going to sing some songs.
But first you need to warm up your voice.
This will help you loosen up, sing your best and make sure you don’t hurt any muscles. ClickHERE to warm up!
3. Singing Practice
I have selected some songs to sing that may bring back some happy memories from year 3! I know how much you loved singing our assembly songs so you might like to recap on some of our previous songs we learnt 🙂

4. Post on the blog your favourite song (it can be absolutely any!) and then post on the blog how singing makes you feel!

My favourite song is ‘In the stone age ‘It makes me think of joy when I sing it(although it is a bit silly)?.It is much better singing it with the whole class?.I am so sad to not see you. Hope to see you soon!

My favourite is we will rock you as I love the tune and the beat and when I sing it I remember us all running around the stage and hitting our chests like gorillas in rehearsal which was really fun and makes me miss everyone even more?.

I like The Mummy Song, We Will Rock You and In The Stone Age. I like these songs because they make me feel me joyful and think of all the fun times that I have. I think that these songs are wonderful.
My favourite song is Friends by Marshmello and Anne Marie. I like this song because the ending of the song is cute because Anne Marie and her friends hug Marshmello it makes me feel how my friends would play together and hug each other.
