It is almost World Book Day! Tell us all about your favourite book. What is it called and who is the author? Why do you love this book so much? Who would you recommend it to and why?
My favourite book is Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief; the story was extremely entertaining and the tone was ‘chatty’ and comical , yet still having an interesting and educational story because of the greek mythology it featured. It was written by Rick Riordan and I would recommend it to everyone who enjoys funny narratives.
My favourite book is ‘The Silver Sword’ by Ian Serraillier ; the story is very adventurous and very entertaining when comes to the characters speaking. It showed how hard it was for children during World War two . I recommend it for people who like action and adventure.
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien; it is amazing adventure filled with fearless heroes, gruesome villains and aberrant creatures; it has great language. I will recommend this for people who like a blend of Classic, but also Action.
My favourite book I have ever read is THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PYJAMAS because it’s really interesting how a German actually was friends with a Jewish person. My favourite bit was when they played with each other without barbed wire blocking them.
My favourite book is ‘Anne of Green Gables’ ; it’s full of funny stories but still adventurous. I love the whole series as you follow the life of the red- headed Anne Shirley. It also teaches you a bit about life before WW1. I would recommend it to children who a very picky about the books they read and for people who get bored easily while reading books.
My favourite book is Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz. I like this book because it is interesting and exciting. I am now reading another story by Anthony Horowitz as he is a good at writing books.
I would recommend these books to all my friends.
My favourite book is White Boots by Noel Streatfeild. I like this book because it shows you have to be resilient to succeed and that your friends are always there for you. I’d recommend it to anyone who loves a great story!
