Good Morning, Nursery.

Earlier in the week and last week, we were practicing counting.

Today, we are going to practice counting in a different way.

Look at this recipe. How many spoonfuls of each ingredient do you need?

Can you get one spoon and measure out that many spoonfuls ?

It doesn’t need to be those ingredients unless you want to do the baking activity. Can your child measure eg dry rice or sugar in spoonfuls and remember to stop at the right number eg 4 spoonfuls?

If you would like to use the recipe to bake the biscuits, the instructions are here.

I am looking forward to hearing all about your Maths today.

Love from Miss Siswick.
