Can you use your number cards to record your answers? You could copy or write the numbers as well.
I am looking forward to hearing about and seeing your Maths work today.
Love from Miss Siswick. (I will be teaching at school so I will not be able to respond until later today.)
It would really help me if you could upload photos straight to the media file (instructions are here: sharing photos and files) as they get to me more quickly and easily as they don’t have to go via the office and my e-mail. Please can either your child’s name or face (but not both) be visible on any photos. Many thanks.
Grace said ‘we don’t have much fruit’!
We had 1 orange, 2 apples, 2 grapefruits, 2 bananas and 5 pears. After the photo she decided she was hungry and ate a pear and an apple so we drew a fruit pattern which started off like this: banana, apple, pear, pear, grapefruit and orange. Then we repeated it across three pages, coloured it in and labelled it with initials. She is now drawing her own random food patterns 🙂
Alexander was able to correctly combine and count the different fruits (apples, grapes, satsumas and bananas). He was able to understand the concept of one less when an apple or banana was removed.
He sorted them into groups, mixed them up and correctly counted the fruits that would be eaten on different days of the week.
Hello Miss Siswick,
Caspian in better mood today for practice. He counted the fruits and divided them into groups then counted them again and made his own fruits pattern. He created 2 different patterns and decided to write the numbers on the white board.
He said if he eats two apples today and still hungry he will eat 3 apples tomorrow and if he still hungry he will eat 4 apples the day after.
Joseph & Sophia enjoyed counting a mix of fruits with lemons. We counted a total of 17 altogether. Sophia wanted to eat fruits everyday, and wanted all of them so none left for Joseph ! 🙂
Hello,
21 fruits in the basket!
Victoire can count until 12!
Great counting, Victoire.
