Today’s Phonics task: Practice making the ‘p’ action and saying, ‘p p p p p.’ Go on a hunt in your house for things that begin with an ‘p’ sound. Practice saying them like this p p p p pig. Practice writing the letter ‘p’ in the air and on the table with your finger. You can also write the letter on your laminated card using a whiteboard pen or on paper using pen, crayons, paint or pencil.

Plants, pencil, pizza, peppa pig, all pointed out by Mummy. James is much better at maths than phonics, He knows things like glass, bed, etc do not start with p but finds it funny when he gets things wrong??
Don’t worry, James and James’ Mummy. Just practice saying, ‘pppppizza’ for example. We are working on hearing and saying the beginning sounds but still need lots of practice to gain confidence.

We found the following items in our flat:
Papa, Piano, Peppa Pig, pasta, pears, paprika powder, peaches, puff pastry, pepper, picture, paper, pink pencil, people, pony, play-doh, puzzle, Percy the train, Peter and Paul from a book, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Pocahontas, pills, pillow and pan.
We had a lot of fun getting everything out. Mummy really hopes we tidy up after we made our photo.
