Good Morning, Nursery.
Well done for hearing and saying the ‘g’ sound yesterday.
We are focussing on the sound ‘o’.
Today’s Phonics task: Practice making the ‘o’ action and saying, ‘o o o o o.’
Go on a hunt in your house for things that begin with an ‘o’ sound. Practice saying them like this o o o o orange. Can you hear and say the beginning sound of the objects that you have found?
Practice writing the letter ‘o’ in the air and on the table with your finger. You can also write the letter on your laminated card using a whiteboard pen or on paper using pen, crayons, paint or pencil.
I can’t wait to hear about all of the things that you found in your house that begin with the 0 sound.
Reception Class have been telling me how much they love Geraldine the Giraffe. Here she is learning the ‘o’ sound too: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YIQQo9eYVqk

PRINTABLE VERSION:N Phonics Tuesday
Good morning this is a hard one.
We found Orange, olive , origami (that’s mum), Oscar and on/off.
Far more progressive today with James and O.
O for Orange, Owlette, Olaf, Onion but James pointed out to me Onion wasn’t the right oooo sound. He then found an O shape on top of a cup and asked that he use this to draw a big O . We are practising O letters now freehand and will send now. He has just found another o shape on top of a circular Ryman’s pen lid. Sending a photo now.
