Hello Class 1!

Today we are going to think about…

FEELINGS!

Sometimes we have good feelings and sometimes we have not so good feelings. Both types of feelings are felt by all children and adults. You are never alone and it is fine to feel a mixture of both types of feelings.

Have a look at the feelings below. Have you ever felt any of these feelings? Talk to someone at home about what caused you to feel these feelings.

It is good to talk about our feelings with others as it helps us to understand them. We can also tell how someone is feeling through their facial expressions. For example, if someone is happy they usually have a big smile. If someone is sad they usually have tears in their eyes and they are not smiling.

Your task…
Understanding Feelings

Can you show what the feelings on the sheet below might look like:
Feelings Sheet
Either draw what each feeling looks like on the sheet (or on paper if you don’t have a printer),
or, see if you can show each feeling using your own facial expressions and send in a photo!

Extension

Mr Happy says that ‘happy’ is a good feeling!

He would love to hear what makes you happy! Can you write some sentences or draw some pictures to show what makes you happy? It could be anything like riding your scooter, eating your favourite food or spending time with your family and friends!
If you would like to use this sheet to help you to write/draw your ideas, click here: What Makes Me Happy

I look forward to seeing your work!
Don’t forget to talk about your feelings with a trusted adult or write on the Worry Box.

From Miss Lee 🙂
