Good morning Year 1!
I hope you all had a nice weekend.
We are continuing our topic of Lent and Easter. We have learnt that Lent is a special time in the Church as we reflect and remember Jesus fasting (not eating) in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights. The cloth is changed to purple and we often give something up (like sweets or chocolate) or decide to be even more kind than usual.
My last question was about Ash Wednesday. I loved reading your comments and you correctly said that the priest puts the ashes on our heads in the sign of the cross. This means that we should say sorry for all the bad choices we might have made and ask for forgiveness.
