Good Morning, Reception.

Today we are going to be learning about using positional language. This means talking about where something is compared to something else.

Here are some examples of positional language:

Today’s task: Look at the pictures and read the words with an adult.

Choose somewhere safe that you are allowed to climb on such as the sofa or your bed. Can you move into different positions and talk about where you are? For example, “I am on the bed.” Try to do this as many ways as you can so that you can use lots of positional language.

Once you have had lots of turns, maybe you can give your adult instructions such as, “Climb under the bed!”

Challenge: Can you find and use any more positional language?

I am looking forward to hearing about how you got on.

Love from Miss Siswick.
