Good Morning, Reception.
Well done for your great number work yesterday.
Today, we are going to solve another Maths puzzle.
Look at these scarves. Can you say which one is the longest? Can you find a scarf that is shorter than the longest one? Are there any scarves that are the same length as another scarf?
Can you solve the puzzle? All of the answers are about the same scarf. Can you say which one it is?
Now, choose one of the scarves but don’t tell your grown up which it is. Answer the questions about the scarf. Can the grown up get the right answer?
Can you find some long things at home such as scarves, string, ties, or socks?
Can you put them in order from the shortest to the longest?
Can you talk about them using the language ‘longer than’ and ‘shorter than’?
I am looking forward to hearing all about your Maths today.
Love from Miss Siswick.
PRINTABLE VERSION:R Maths Thursday
