Good Morning, Reception.
Well done for all of your hard work in Maths yesterday.
Today, we are going to practice counting on to find one more and counting back to find one less.
You need your number cards from 0-20. Mix them up and put them face down so that you can’t see them.
You could print out the actions pictures and mix them up to choose or just choose the order of actions to do.
You could take turns with a grown up to play the game.
Choose an action to do first. Pick up a number card. Turn it over and read the number. Then, you have to do one more action than the number that you chose. For example, you choose number 12 and do 12 hops. Then do one more hop and say the number 13. See if you can try this with all of the different actions, choosing a new number each time.
Then, try again but with one less action each time. Can you count back to find the answer?
Have fun! I am looking forward to hearing how you got on.
Love from Miss Siswick.
