Good Morning, Reception!

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend.

I was so impressed with your reading and writing last week. You have all been working so hard on your phonics.

Today, I would like you to practice your tricky words from last week. Read them all by yourself and then ask an adult to test you by pointing at the words in a mixed up order.

Next, write the words without looking at them  when an adult says them. If you find that very tricky, copy each word a few times and then try again from memory.

Finally, I would like you to practice using your letter sounds to read the short  words (in the photo gallery).

I am looking forward to hearing about your phonics today.

Love from Miss Siswick.

P.S. Don’t forget to go to the Reception Reading blog to tell us all about the books you’ve been enjoying.
