Read a book, by yourself or with a grown up, and see how many of the tricky words you can find.

We read all the tricky words and wrote them down on our own. We had a little bit of a hard time with they and her, but we managed to write them in the end. We wrote them down a couple of times to practice.
Then we read the gruffalo and Found some tricky words, like: the, to, I, no, was, all, they, he, you, are.
Well done, Philippa. I love ‘The Gruffalo’ but I didn’t realise that it had so many tricky words!

Amber wrote the words out and then she read “the backpack” to me out loud and we ticked off the words we could find.
‘My’ was the most popular word

Ryan read through all the tricky words – he found the word ‘are’ a little challenging. He wrote all the words. Reading was fun – Ryan read a phonics book – Cat in a Bag; there were 12 words included

Reading and writing went smoothly.
Beside the word all Madeleine was able to write the words without looking.
Then we looked For tricky words I’m a very funny book : “Pigs Make Me Sneeze” by Mo Willems.

Hi, Marcus enjoyed this task. He was able to read and write the tricky words unaided. He read one of his Thomas book about Flynn and found a few tricky words including 21 “he”!

Harlow read and wrote all of the tricky words. She read The Lost Cow, and found 6 tricky words (her, he, they, she, her and you). We sent in a picture of her work.

Chiara can read an write the tricky words .more challenging to write “are”
we read peppa pig easter egg. we read the 2 first pages and found only “her ” and “are” as tricky words but it is difficult to concentrate
Well done, Chiara. Just read a page or two at a time and then go back to it later. You could also take turns with Mummy or Daddy reading a page and then you reading a page. Keep practicing a little bit every day and it will get easier.

Good afternoon Miss Siswick, Constanza could read most of the words. She had a bit of trouble reading “they and her”. She could write some of them when I read them out loud. She copied the rest on a paper. Afterwards we read “Red Riding hood” and she could recognise some of the tricky words.
Well done, Constanza. I am glad that you are practicing your reading. I love the story of Little Red Riding Hood but it is a bit scary!
