I hope you are all enjoying your topic about Plants!
I know you can label all of the parts of the plant and tell me the things plants need to keep alive.
Have a look at this video to help you recap your learning!
This post is about prediction – this means what you think might happen.
Have a look at this picture. The celery has been put in coloured water. What do you think might happen to the celery?

How to grow celery from a stalk! Celery needs lots of sun to grow so if you have any celery in your home already you could do this experiment and put it by the window to grow.
Remember to ask an adult at home for help!
I predict that the celery will drink the different coloured water. When the celery drinks the green water it will turn green. When the celery drinks the red water it will turn red. When the celery drinks the yellow water it will turn yellow. I think this because if we put celery in normal clear water we know that it doesn’t change colour, like plants drink normal water and they don’t change colour.
A brilliant prediction! Well done Daisy!
I predict that the celery will drink the different water but the celery will die because the water has color on it.
Good prediction! You’ll have to wait and see what happens!
I predict that the celery will grow because plants need water to grow!… ?It might be coloured because the water is colourful!… ?
Good prediction!
I predict that the celery will turn a different colour because it is in coloured water. The water will go into the leaves and change the colours. Will it grow if it doesn’t have roots?
Good predictions!
You can get celery to grow by cutting off the long stalks of the celery. Then you put the bottom bit of the celery in some water but don’t cover it! After 5 or 7 days new green shoots should begin to grow. You can then plant the celery in some soil to let it grow even more!
I will update the blog to show you with pictures!
I predict that if the celery went in the red water it will be orange and if the celery went in the yellow water it well be greenish and if the celery went into green water it will be dark green and if the celery went in the clean water the celery will Not change any colour because it will not do different colours.
Excellent predictions !
I predict that the celery will change colour inside the stem because it is in coloured water.
Well done! Excellent predictions!
I predict that the celery will change its colour, because it will absorb the colour of the water. The celery placed in the red water will turn red, the celery placed in the yellow water will turn yellow and the one in green will turn green.
Great predictions, Jaidee!
I predict that the celery will suck up the coloured water and the stems will change colour.
Great prediction, Jacob!
I predict that the celery will turn into the colour that the water is, because the plant will suck up the water.
Good prediction! You’ll have to wait and see what happens!

Excellent prediction, Julia! Well done
I predict that the celery will grow. I predict this because it is in coloured water, plants need this to grow. I also predict that the celery will change to the colour of the water.
Well done Aiden! Excellent predictions!
I predict that the celery will become the same colour as the coloured water because plants absorb water and so the celery will absorb the coloured water.

Excellent prediction, Sebastian! Well done.
Thank you Miss ?
I predict that the celery will get the colours from the water.

You will have to wait until next week to see if your prediction was correct!
I predict that the celery will turn the same colour as the coloured water that it drinks, because it’s thirsty and it needs water to grow.
I predict that it will take the dye from the water and it will turn to any colour that you put it on. Because that is what celery does.
An excellent prediction Fabi!
