River said his Godfather (Jaime) cares about him, and River cares about foxes because they are cute, actually he loves all animals such as snakes, dogs, rhinos to list a few . River says that caring is “Love” (showing love).
We discussed GOD’s care is when we feel looked after, having good luck and good health. we can see what a beautiful world we live in, and God created that. We like to go walking and being in nature and that is Gods gift to us. GOD gives us the gift of food on our plates. We feel the love of God in church and through our prayers.😊
Sharing with others is caring and River loves to share (most of the time) maybe he needs to practice more. Hugging friends is caring.
We need each others care, and Jaime needs our care.
We do need to care for our shared world and environment with recycling and being clean and tidy in our world and in our classroom. River says we must “listen” and this is a form of caring.
I think that this weeks Wednesday Word is telling us that since we are all God’s children we should always be kind to one another and love one another. As it says in 1 Corinthians 13:4–8a-‘Love is not dishonest’
Jesus teaches this and we should always follow Jesus’ teachings, therefore we should always be honest and trustworthy. We should never give into our temptations and treat one another as we would like to be treated.
This week‘s gospel is all about trust. God trusts you to know that he will always be with you no matter what. We should be mindful and treat each other the way we want to be treated. So if they trust us with something like they ask to help them with homework or tidying up we do it. God wants us to trust each other and him but not to trust money because like the Gospel said you can not trust both money and God. God wants us to trust him and we should not be afraid to do so. But most of all God wants us to love each other because out of love comes trust.
I think this weeks Gospel is about trust.God trusts you no matter what and will always be with you.you should treat people how you would like to be treated as that could make lots of peace.If someone asked you to hold and take care of something you should take care because it might be something precious and they have trusted you with it.God wants us to be trustful because he trusts you so we must trust him back.He loves us so we should be trustful as he wants us to be.
I think this Wednesday Word is about trust. Like Jesus said ”The one who can be trusted with small things can be trusted with big things.”
This gospel is speaking about Trust worthy and God would always trust us.
Being trustworthy is important because it show that you can be a loyal friend. Being a loyal friend to God, family and friends shows kindness and care. In the gospel Jesus said that one cannot serve two masters. If we fall in temptation, friend and family will trust us less and we will end up losing them.
This text is reminding us that if we cant be trusted with the little things, how can you be trusted with the big things. Jesus wants to remind us that God trusts us no matter what and we should trust him as well. For example, if your mum wants your help to tidy up she EXPECTS you to help because she trusts you.

Sharing doesn’t just mean that you share a toy with someone it means you help them in their hour of need. God teaches us to be selfless by helping each other. We should never ignore someone when we see that they are in need. We should help them and guide them.

Sharing means when someone gives something to one another just like Jesus did when he fed the 5000 by SHARING the five loaves of bread and two fish.Sharing is important in our daily lives as it helps us to make friendship with one another and Jesus would like us all as his children to follow his example and one of them is sharing.
In the Wednesday word Pope Francis said ” The Gospel invites us to be open to others and to share with the poor.This means that we need to open our hearts to one another even if they are your enemies because Jesus would like us to do it and if we do it he will be proud.
Sharing your heart,food and maybe some money to the poor will be a good thing as Jesus wants us to do it.It does not matter how small or little it is we still accept it and show our love towards them.
Last of all God also wants each and every one of us to share with people who are in need ,people around us and people all over the world and, just like Lazarus,to share in God’s everlasting happiness now and forever.

Being rich does not mean that you have to make fun of people just because they are poor . when the rich does not mean to stop believing in God or Jesus , that was why when the rich died they were berried and was no with God. But the poor was. So this weeks gospel is all about sharing and i will follow this gospel by sharing with other like lending my books to people so they can read it to.
In this weeks Gospel is all about sharing. Sharing makes you feel joyful through the happiness of others. If someone who is close to you at school is feeling miserable then you can share that feeling with them. This can make them feel better because they know someone understands. Sharing is not just about physical things it can knowledge, talents, qualities and feelings.

Today’s week gospel I have learnt that it doesn’t matter if your rich but it matters if you are holy, you believe in God, and that you always pray. It also is that if you are holy you would come with God to heaven, but if you are rich but not holy you won’t go to heaven.
This week‘s gospel is about sharing. If you see a poor man on the street you should help him. It is not about yourself, it is about all the people. You should help always if you see people are in need.
Sharing is a part of life. If you have lots of something and someone else doesn’t, you should share it with them. That is what Jesus told us to do and we should follow him.
In today’s gospel I have learnt that you should help the people who need and to share things with people and to love people.
Today’s gospel is teaching us that success is not measured by how rich you are but how you act towards others. Being kind and caring is what God would want us to be. If we follow God’s way we will be happy in Heaven in the end.
Wednesday’s gospel was about caring for others and not just yourself. Because in heaven it does not matter how rich or poor you were but how many good deeds you did. If you are terrible as you live you will always have eternal punishment 🙁 and if you are good you will be always happy. 🙂
I like sharing with my friends and with my sisters when I play with my toys.
This gospel is about sharing and looking after others. The wealthy are lucky but don’t really think about the poor sitting outside their door begging for life. We have to care for others so we can all live a happy and equal life, without poverty and starvation.
Sharing is a great way to help others and give to the poor or any person in need. During the next few days we can share through the food bank so we can share our food with others who have less. This Gospel talks about a rich man and a poor man. The poor man needs to take the scraps from the rich man’s meal to survive whilst the rich man gets everything he needs. Then they both die and the poor man goes to Abraham but the rich one goes to Hades. This means we should share with others and give, especially in the next few days because of the food bank. And it doesn’t matter how wealthy or poor you are, you can still share.
I think this gospel is trying to tell us is that we should always be kind to one another as we are all God’s children. It’s also trying to tell us that we should give to the poor as we do not always need what we want, therefore we should give to others. In assembly, Miss Coleman was talking about how in the next week we can give to the food bank, so people who are struggling to feed their families can go to the food bank to support them.
I think that this week’s gospel is all about sharing. Sharing is when you give something to others. You don’t always have to share things, you could share love, joyful moments and kindness.

Faith means when you completely trust or have confidence in someone or something. Faith is important in christianity because we all believe and have faith in Jesus and we trust him in everything we do.We all should have faith in everyone because Jesus wants us to trust everyone not individual people and we show that we believe in them.Sometimes faith can help someone if the are feeling nervous or anxious as it would encourage them so they can believe in themselves and have faith in themselves that they can do it. Pope Francis said in this weeks wednesday word ” How beautiful it is to support each other in the wonderful adventure of faith.” This means that when we all support each other it is a god thing t do and it it is nice when everyone does that as that is what Jesus wants us to do.Jesus also wants us to have faith in God’s help just like st Therese.He even tells us that faith is a powerful thing and even if it is really small then it can help us to do great things.

The Wednesday word is all about doing what you’re told to do. If you’re parents ask you to do the dishes for example you should do it in courtesy of them not be rude and talk back. The same applies with us and God, we should do what he said and not disobey him.

The poor man had nothing; not even food because the rich man gave him none. He went to heaven because he did little wrong and likely always praised God.

This weeks gospel is all about faith and obeying.God expects us to treat everyone like he and Jesus treat us. He wants us to care for each other, love each other, have faith in each other. If no one was kind to each other and no one followed God,the world would be a miserable place for everyone. The good thing about love is that it can spread everywhere at what ever time as long as we are kind to everyone.

I think that this weeks Wednesday Word is telling us not to take our blessings for granted and to always be grateful to God for all the things he has done for us because sometimes we become so accustomed to God’s kindness and love that we forget to thank him for all he has done for us.
If you are thankful, it means you are happy with what you have. Jesus was always teaching how that we should be thankful for what you have not what someone else has; that is jealousy.You should thank God for what you have and never hope for more.
This week’s gospel is about thankfulness.Being thankful doesn’t just mean telling God you are thankful in your prayers and your words it means showing it through your actions. The Samaritan is good because he has shown faith and gratefulness for when Jesus has helped him unlike the other nine who where not as grateful as he was.

I’m thankful for my family because they take great care of me when I’m ill or sick and I’m thankful for my friends since they help me when I feel negative at school.
This Gospel tells us to be thankful for what we have. It doesn’t matter if we are rich or poor we still should be thankful for family and friends that are with us. Jesus is there for us every time, every second of our lives. Jesus is with us.

When you are thankful it means to be grateful for what someone has done for you. In this case, Jesus helps to guide us away from the darkness (turning our back on God) and he leads us into the light.
This gospel shows that you don’t have to be clean or have to come from the same country to be able to show faith or belief in God, and that they will always help you no matter what.
This week’s gospel is about thankfulness. It shows that it does not matter if you are clean or dirty or from another country you can believe in God and that God will never leave you alone when you are in need.

An example would be if your mum said pick up your clothes and you don’t, how would she trust you to look after a pet.
Life is like a chain of responsibility. If you don’t do your part, the next person would have more to do and can’t do their tasks.
So slowly the chain breaks.

Today’s Gospel I have learnt that you don’t have to be rich or clean, it is that you praise the lord and have a kind heart. You can also be cleansed if you are poor you just need to be humble.
This week’s Wednesday word is all about prayer.
Prayer is important in our everyday lives as it is a time where we can have a conversation with God or if you are stuck and you need God to guide you on the right path.
Sometimes you pray to God to ask him for forgiveness or you want to thank him for his wonderful creations.
God wants us to spend time with him through prayer and prayer helps us to work properly keeping us in good order. When you pray God will always answer your prayer as he cares and loves everyone the same way. Also God’s love is everlasting as there is no time when he is busy as he will always listen to your prayer.
Jesus wanted to teach his disciples that they should always pray and never give up. So he told them a story. Jesus said, “There was a judge in a certain town who had neither fear of God nor respect for any other person.
I pray to give thanks to God.
This weeks gospel is all about Prayer. In Matthew 7:7, it talks about God giving us whatever we desire or need. All we have to do is pray, go to church and full-fill our lives in God’s word.
You should never give up on yourself just to get peace. If someone wants you to do something that you don’t want to do, you don’t have to do it. Just say no, and continue what you were doing. Remember, if you beg too much, you probably won’t get anything.
This week’s gospel is all about prayer . When you pray it means you are having a conversation with God. The prayers often mean that you are either saying thank you to God ,asking him to lead you onto the right path, asking him for help or requesting forgiveness. God wants us to pray so that he can give us all we need and we can try to build a better relationship with him. While we pray he will never think that we’re disturbing him. The best time to pray to God is in the morning or the afternoon because it is a nice calm time of the day.

This gospel shows that God doesn’t praise people that are vain;he praises those that recognise what they have done wrong.In this paragraph,God isn’t pleased by the Pharisee. He is pleased from the tax collector.It may seem confusing,but the Pharisee thinks that he is perfect (even though he is not) and the tax collector knew and acknowledged what he had done wrong. Both of these men represent us. God’s children.
This week’s Wednesday word is all about being humble.
Being humble means when you only think about yourself and think that you are better than anyone else.God does not like it when people do that as in the Wednesday word it says “those who praise themselves and think that they are better are humbled but if you humble yourself then you will praise God.”
Pope Francis said “when we live humbly, God takes our small efforts and creates great things”. Which means that we are kind to everyone and we humble ourselves. It would make God happy and he will create great things for us.
Lying to God is a sin like the pharisee did. Everyone sins more than once in a lifetime. If you just admit what you have done, you won’t get hurt. You might feel better talking about them. Being humble is something you can always do. Never be too proud of yourself as it is one of the deadly sins.

God is pleased with those who are humble. A humble person knows that all good comes from God. In Luke 14: 11 it says,
“For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted”
The gospel was about strict judge who gave a widow what she wanted so imagine what God would do if you asked.
This Wednesday’s Word was about being humble. When you only love yourself and think you’re better than everyone else God doesn’t like it.
A tax collector who humbled him self recieved great things but a man who did great things and boasted to God recived nothing.
I think this weeks wednesday word is about loyalty .
Never give up on your faith ,keep believing in your faith .
Pray as much as possible .
Being humble is basically being generous and gentle with others, even who aren’t your friend.
This week’s gospel is all about being humble.Being humble means not to think highly of yourself but instead serve others and God. But you should serve everyone not just your friends but also your enemies. Sometimes people think that serving others means just serving your friends which is not what it is about. Even if you are following God’s way if you think highly of yourself what you are doing means nothing. This is why we should try to be like the tax collector.
There were some people who thought they were better than everyone else. One day Jesus told them a story.”Two men went into the Temple to pray. One of them was a Pharisee and the other was a tax collector. The Pharisee stood there and said this prayer to himself, ‘I thank you, God, that I am not greedy, dishonest, and unfaithful like other people, and particularly that I am not like this sinful tax collector here.
I think this week’s Gospel is about not being selfish to other people and not just caring about yourself and you can also care about other people.
This weeks Wednesday Word is about being humble. God likes it when everyone is humble and generous.
This week’s gospel is all about being humble. In the story there is a pharisee who is very good but he boasted about it, however the tax collector just asked for forgiveness. We should try to be like the pharisee everyday, but when we are praying we should be more like the tax collector. Lots of times it is hard to be humble because you can want to be special but remember in God’s eyes you are special. Just because you’re good doesn’t mean you can show off about it and try to be seen as more important then you really are.
This week’s gospel is all about being humble. This means we should be gentle to others. This is a sign of kindness and this gospel is a good one in order to build friendship.

This weeks gospel was about mercy. When someone trips you by accident you forgive them even if it is on purpose. Jesus is merciful to the people who are mean and unkind because it’s the right thing to do. If you are merciful you can go to heaven. I think that in this week’s gospel, the main focus is how the criminal understands what he did wrong and did not accuse or tell Jesus to save himself. Also the soldiers and everyone were mocking Jesus while he died, but this criminal understood.
This Sunday we celebrate the feast of Christ the King. In this Sunday’s Gospel, the leaders, the soldiers and the people all mock Jesus as God’s Chosen One and as king.
