Hello Class 4!
Another week of online learning brings another BIG QUESTION for our topic!
This week’s question is:
Are weather and climate the same thing? Explain your answer.
After you have explained your answer, I would love for you to research the climate of any country of your choice and tell us about it on this blog!
I can’t wait to read your answers and to hopefully see a huge variety of countries researched!
Enjoy! 😀
No. Weather is for example rain, wind, sunshine, cloudy and snowy ❄️. Climate is weather, for example it’s too hot or too cold .
Well done Alfred, which country are you going to research?
Hello everyone, no climate is not the same as weather. Climate is what is the weather like in a long period of time in a specific place.
Weather is a mix of events which happens in one day. For example London was cloudy yesterday. Turkey is a warm country.
Great examples Martin to help make your explanation clearer!
No, Climate is whether something is too ht or too cold.Weather is like snow or hail.☁⛅⛈????????❄
Hello Miss Lee,
Weather refers to short term changes in the atmosphere, climate describes what weather it is in a long time in a specific area. Different countries have different climates!?⛈???
Great work Mayowa! Have you chosen a country to research?
Weather and climate are not the same thing.
Here are some facts about weather;
-weather is the condition of the air or the atmosphere on our planet.
-weather is minute by minute changes in the atmosphere.
– weather is the condition of our planet’s atmosphere and it is constantly changing.
Here is a fact about climate
-climate is what the weather is over a long period of time in a specific area.
Yesterday in London, it was sunny but cold. Today in London, it is rainy, cloudy, cold and a bit windy.
Weather is the day-to-day state atmosphere and its short-term variation in minutes to a week. People generally think of weather as a combination of temperature, humidity, precipitation, cloudiness, visibility, and wind.
Climate is the weather of a place averaged over a period of time, often 30 years.
For example yesterday in London it had cloudy weather, and Cuba has a warm climate.
I think the weather regards a particular place at a particular time, such as, “Today is sunny in London”.
I think the climate is the yearly weather pattern of a region.
No, weather and climate have a fairly big difference. Weather is wind, rain, hail and snow. Climate is heat and cold, the temperature of the Earth. If climate was the same as weather, it would make sense as if to say ” Weather Change” instead of ” Climate Change”, but no, it doesn’t make sense.
AUSTRALIAN CLIMATE:
As all of you would know, Australia is quite a hot region, as for where I am now it feels like my brain is melting in the middle of the day, but in some states it isn’t so hot, in fact some places in winter you can go skiing here! Here in Queensland the climate is really Tropical, which means it is hot and humid. When it rains it really rains! But, despite how hot it gets or how cold it gets {and bushfires, which are under control now} Australia is still a wonderful and inspiring country.
