This week we will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 7th March.
We love to promote reading at St Vincent’s and celebrating World Book Day is a fantastic way to reflect on all of our favourite authors and stories we love!
We would love you to share what your favourite story is and why you like it!
My favourite story is ‘we are going on a bear hunt’
I love it so much because I love adventures and there is a bear in it.
I also love reading books about princess’ because I like magical things
My favourite book is Winnie, the witch because she flies and has lots of adventures, and she has a cat with her , Wilbur, and they fly on a broom.
I like Frozen because I have an Elsa dress and Anna dress, and I like the characters and I like the movie so much and the book.
I like Mary Poppins because she flies with her umbrella and she looks after children

My favourite book is “The Magic flute”. Which is a fantastic fairy tale with a prince and a princess and a mean queen. But there is also music. That is why I love it most. My favourite charachters are Papageno and Papagena (half human half parrots) because they are so funny and colourfull.
My favourite book is hungry caterpillar.
Because he eats a lot and gets bigger than it goes to chrysalis and then turns into a beautiful butterfly.
My favourite book is “There is a bear in my chair”. It is so funny to see how the mouse tries to move the bear from his chair. The mouse tries all the ways for the bear to leave the chair. At the end the mouse is so tired that ends up sleeping in the bears bed. He even tries to scare the bear jumping from a box in his underwear. Its so funny.
My favourite book is “Hey Duggee, the train Badge” 🚄 I like it because it talks about trains. How slow it goes up the hill and how fast it can go down. Going into colourful forest and through dark tunnels. I enjoy reading it with mommy and daddy before bed. 🚂
My favourite book is “Beasts of the Ancient World” because I like ancient creatures. In particular, I like the Sphynx of Egypt and AkBars a winged snow leopard.
My favourite books are the Mr Men & Little Miss series. Mr Tickle is especially my favourite because he tickles everyone and he has such long arms he can get a cookie from the fridge while he is still in bed! I also have a Mr Tickle keyring.
My favourite book is 10 little characters of Super Mario because Mario saves the day. I always watch the movie too. I like it a lot.
My favourite story is “Room on the Broom”. I like this story because the witch made a lot of friends and make sure that everyone fits on her broom. I also like this book because it teaches us to be helpful. In the story the dragon breath out fire to witch, which is scary.
My favourite book is Rupunzel. It is about a girl who has long golden hair. She wears a pink and purple dress and she lives in a big castle with no door. The wicked witch locks Rupunzel in the tower. I like Rupunzel because it is a story with a happy ending. 😊🌞
My favourite book is The little red riding hood because I’m dressing up as her and I like it when I have the bag and wolf together. I like it because you shouldn’t talk to strangers. 🐺 🧺
My second favourite book is Aladdin. There is a princess called Jasmine and she has a tiger. I like the story because the magic carpet flies in the sky.
My favourite story is MAYBE by Chris Haughton. I like it because there are tigers in it; then the monkeys run away. Their mummy warns them not to go to the mango tree… but they go there anyway! But everyone is alright in the end.
My favourite story is The Princess and the Wizard! I like how the princess changes into different shapes, colours and animals in an attempt to escape. She is very clever! She flew up as a seagull and turned into a page to trick the evil wizard, and get back to her family.
My favourite books are all the Hey Dugee books because the squirrels get a badge when they do good things. I also love The Highway Rat by Julia Donaldson because he loves cookies and chocolate like me. I love his costume too and I like dressing up like him
I love Elsa book because I would like to be like her, like a princess.
My favourite book is “Les dents” because it explains everything about teeth and I would like to be a dentist.
My favourite reading is little red riding hood as our book has pop ups and we can lift the wolf’s belly and see grandma and little riding before the woodchopper rescues them 🪺📚
My favourite book is Hansel & Gretel because in the number two they fought the dragon.
My favourite book is about the three little hungry goats and also my book is about Elsa because she freezes ice and she makes lovely music. She also makes a lovely icy tower with her powers.
