Title: White Fang
Author: Jack London
About the book: White Fang is a wild wolf dog.He got separated from his mum and ended up with a horrific owner called Gray Beaver. White Fang was bullied by the other dogs and got hit hard by his owner. His owner was so mean that he made him fight against trained, fierce pit bulls. Therefore he became “crafty, swift and cruel” . At the end White Fang got sold to a new owners called Matt and Weedon. Weedon took White Fang to California to live in his farm with his family and with his dogs and finally started a new beautiful life for White Fang!
I think that the book tells us that you should treat other like you want to be treated. White Fangs become ferocious because he was badly mistreated but I think once he was treated well he become kind and happy again like when he was with his mother.

Book Review: This book is about a 16 year old wizard called Harry Potter. He teaches Defence against the Dark Arts to other wizards at Hogwarts who want to learn how to defend themselves.

Title: Animals and us
Author: Claire Llewellyn
Book review, this was a fact book, it talked about animals and insects. Like a microscopic, or a mosquito, did you know, mosquitoes inject sharp mouthparts into a blood capillary under our skin, which means we get a itchy bite from they whilst they get a delicious meal. Along time ago, dogs would bark if something bad happened like an attack of bad people, they would also fight and protect if they are getting too weak to fight. I rate this book a nine out of ten because it gave really interesting, important facts about animals, most of the thing were the things I didn’t know so I learnt more because of the book.

Title: The Christmasaurus
Author:Tom Fletcher
Book review:
Its about a the Christmasaurus and Santa was sitting down and some elves where mining. The elves names were Snozzletrump, Specklehump, Sparklefoot, Sugarsnout, Starlump, Spudcheeks, Snowcrumb and Snout. When they were mining they found a 2,000 year old frozen egg while they were mining. They quickly brought it to Santa and Santa wanted to know what was inside. So Santa desided to hatch it.The leaves couldn’t fit their tiny bums on the egg so Santa had no choice but to sit on the egg himself! He’d waited for days and Christmas was really soon. So he told the elves to put up the heating to full power. Instead of selling warm Christmas sweaters they now sold vests and shorts! Even Santa was wearing a vest and shorts! Soon when santa was sitting on the frozen egg, he heard a CRACK. He quickly jumped of the egg. The elves said “Is it hatching?”. When the egg had hatched a blue dinosaur that had rich colours on him all the way down to his spine. He had patterns on his scales like freshly fallen snowflakes. The elves started asking questions like: What type of dinosaur?, What’s its name?, is it dangerous?, Or is it tame?, If its a girl we can call her Ginny! (not from Harry Potter), I think it’s a boy! He’s got a thingy! THAT’S ENOUGH! Santa shouted. He wanted to see the hatched new member of the North Pole family. When the Christmasaurus grew up he thought why there was no one else like him. When he thought of sad things he went to see his favourite creatures in the North Pole. Reindeer! He liked to watch them fly around and around in circles. He thought that if he could fly then he won’t be as different as the reindeer! So he started eating the same thing as reindeer and drank the same thing as reindeer. Well it wasn’t any of that that made them fly. It was the magic!

Title: James and the Giant Peach
Author: Roald Dahl
This book is delicious. Every chapter is a new surprise starting with a man-eating rhinocerous all the way through to travelling over the Atlantic to New York city. The main character is called James as you can tell from the book title. He was once happy but living with his aunts led to 7 years of unhappiness. His life flipped again when one rather strange thing happened to him which led to another strange thing which led to the strangest thing of all.
I’m not going to tell you all the great tales and adventures but every person in the story, even the annoying blind earthworm, does something to help get out of trouble. Except, of course, for the centipede who causes it because he is a pest and very proud of it.
I really enjoyed the book. It was fun, had adventures, facts and surprises.
Score: 9.999/10
Title: Waiting for Anya
Author: Michael Morpugo
It is a very sad book I’m reviewing here. Lots of people die in it, including some of the main characters.
The title gives away the fact that you are awaiting for Anya, but she doesn’t come when the time is right. Anya is separated from her father in World War 2 during a bombing raid. We have no idea where she is or how long she will take to arrive. Her father is helping some Jewish people to get over the border between France and Spain. He is waiting for Anya to return.
Getting people over the border used to be easy, but now it has become harder because of the Germans guarding the mountain peaks.
The book gives us an idea of what the people of Ukraine are suffering today, and so I think it is a good book but there is too much death in it for me.
Score: 5/10 (because of the death)
Title: Violent Volcanoes
Author: Anita Ganeri

Title: The Goalie’s Secret
Author: Paul Shipton
This book is about a boy called Phil who was not very good at football. He was so bad that he even broke one of his neighbours window (an old lady) and she told him that he would have to pay for it. She then offered to help Phil become a good goalie by training him. He had to do all weird exercises but it did actually help him. Phil’s team didn’t win in the final of the football tournament but he did manage to save lots of attempts at goal and his team celebrated and congratulated him on his success. I enjoyed this book.
