What should our next parents’ event be? Last year, we hosted a very successful team-building morning, a star-studded film premiere and a delicious Ancient Greek feast. How would you like to share your learning about World War 2 with your parents at the end of this project?
The parents should go back in time to a world war classroom and year 6 should be the teachers! ?It would be a bit like what we did at the RAF museum!
We should also make some meals that were used in world war 2 or we could do a world war 2 master chef for parents.?
Scarlett?
I agree with Scarlett. We can also create a scene for the parents imagining how it would be a solider, evacuee or a mother .
I also think that we should go back in time, but I have another good idea!
I think we should pretend that the parents are children and are being evacuated today, year 6 should be the carers that take care of the children!
Some family’s could be nice, but some coulod be horrible!
Miss Hackett could even be a wartime teacher who sends the children to the country side.
Year 6 could even be able to choose the children that they like.
Remember , some carers would like a group of children!
Could we pretend to be the Germans instead of the British so that the parents know what it would be like to be a German at war?
I like all of the suggestions but especially Isadora’s. My idea is that we could have half the class be German pilots and the other half be English pilots to create a scene from World War II.

Thanks Alana!
I also like your idea as well as Scarlett’s
Master chef sounds great
Year 6 can pretend to be wide world famous chefs
The parents event was AMAZING! Unfortunately, the food wasn’t as good as we thought it would be. But it still tasted good!
Can’t wait for the next one…
