This week Year 5 enjoyed the 1066 Covid19 recovery workshop.
We began by looking at the history of London and its significant buildings. We learned about the differences between present and past when England was run by the Kings, Dukes and Bishops. Next, we focused on Harold Godwinson’s rise to power. The day was filled with puppets, flags, acting and interactive notebooks! We had a wonderful time acting out this significant part of history!
I loved learning about the Battle of Hastings- learning how King Harold got shot with an arrow against King William. I enjoyed the songs and the acting!
