In groups, Year 5 looked at the sheer size of space through a fun playground activity by using toilet paper sheets to demonstrate the distance of each planet from the Sun! To do this, we had to use Maths to represent proportionate distances from the Sun based on given data.
We were so surprised by the size of the Solar System and we can’t wait to learn more this term!
I love learning about the Solar System. And this helps me see where each planet 🪐 is in space.
I liked the fun activities,too. Especially the loo rolls and how they got soggy and stuck to our feet!
