Advent comes from the Latin word meaning ‘coming.’ Advent is the season when we prepare for the coming of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
It was wonderful to arrive at school today and see the many festive decorations in place. Thank you to the parents who decorated the outside of the school and to the S.V.P.A. for our glorious Christmas tree. This holds a treasured decoration from every family. If you haven’t yet contributed, please do bring in your decoration to add to the tree. In every class we also have nativity sets We also have a fabulous Advent wreath adorning the front door, beautifully made at the parent workshop last week and reminding us of God’s infinite love.
