We have had a great 2 weeks in Year 3!
We have begun our Ancient Egyptian topic and have involved ourselves in lots of topic activities. We made mind-maps exploring what we already know about Ancient Egypt and what we would like to find out. We also made our own Egyptian necklaces. We have been learning about hieroglyphics and wrote our names using the symbols. We learnt that it means Holy writing.
In English we have been learning how to skim and scan for information in a text. We have been using this information to find themes so we can write a non-chronological report all about the Egyptian lifestyle.
