This week Year 1 have had lots of great discussions and completed lots of activities for anti-bullying week.
We started on Monday with odd socks day. Wearing odd socks reminds us that we are all different but it is important to be kind to everyone no matter what our differences are. After an assembly talking about the theme Reach Out Year 1 spoke about how it is important to reach out to anyone who looks upset or sad, but also to reach out if you are getting bullied so someone can help you.
We spoke about what bullying looks like, and what to do if it happens. Firstly say stop and then tell a teacher.
Finally at the end of the week we talked about how our actions can have a huge impact on the world, just like we can have a huge impact by reaching out and spreading kindness.
