In our Art lesson, Year 3 have been focusing on Ancient Britain artefacts. We have previously learnt and created our own cave paintings.
This week, we were very lucky to begin working with Queens College. They will be joining us across a few weeks to complete an exciting clay project! Mr Allan, along with four brilliant Sixth Form students, came and delivered a lesson all about Ancient Britain pots.
The children learnt about the history of the pots, how they were made and the different usages they had. Then, they looked closely at different designs and designed their very own pot. At the end, the children looked at each others work in a gallery style and gave feedback to one another about what they liked about the work.
We canโt wait for our next session!
I love art. I canโt wait to make our pots after half term.
Dear Miss Drury,
I loved to design a pottery pot from the Bronze Age that is carved .
I loved to learn about how the pots were made. I’m looking forward to next week.
