This week, we had our second session with Queen’s College. We recapped on our previous learning about Stone Age pottery and then we began making our own pinch pots.
We started by creating a smooth ball with our clay and then using our fingers and thumb to slowly pinch the outside of the pots leaving us with a circular shaped pot.
Then, we needed to ensure the edges were as even as possible so our pots are strong and stable.
After that, we created either legs or a ring for the base of our pots. This helps them to stand up and gives them a stronger structure.
We are looking forward to adding to the design in our final session next week!
We had so much fun 🤩
