During this time apart, we are so lucky to have a range of online technology so that we can keep in touch with all our friends and family.
We are very good at using our manners and looking out for each other in real life, and it is important to remember that the internet is real life too! Just because it is online, doesn’t mean the rules are different. Many of us remember that we have to THINK before we say something, and this applies to our online conversations as well.
In ‘real life’, we make sure we always say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ so that we are polite to everyone we talk to. This is the same when we are online, except we just do it in a different way:
At the start of each year, we all sign an AUP to show that we understand how to behave online. You may want to re-read these to make sure you know how we expect you to behave online, and how you agreed to behave! Click on the KS1 and KS2 ones to see what they say: AUP-KS1-2019 AUP-KS2-2019
Remember, we are here for you. Whether you are at home or coming to school, we are all still part of the St Vincent’s family and are here if you need to talk. You use the online Worry Box to tell us anything worrying you. We will never share your name but can give you some advice to help you.
