Children’s Mental Health Week 2021 has been a successful week. The children have enjoyed exploring the different ways we can express ourselves, and the creative ways that we can share our feelings, our thoughts and our ideas. In particular, the class workshops led by Perform helped children explore ways of overcoming feelings of stress, discomfort and sadness, as well as highlighting the importance of keeping a safe and healthy mind. Additionally, the children have also responded very well to having a screen-free Wednesday afternoon, teacher led wellbeing lessons and live wellbeing catch-ups. As always, the mental health and wellbeing of children will continue to remain our top priority and will be reflected in our whole school curriculum.
During this week and beyond, we will continue listening to you to make sure that you have the knowledge and the tools to support the mental health and wellbeing of yourself and others.
We can get through this. Together. One day at a time.
