This week in class, we have been learning about St Vincent De Paul and the special person that he was in preparation for the feast of St Vincent De Paul on Sunday.
We started our learning by finding out about St Vincent De Paul’s early life and how he became a parish priest in Clichy near Paris. Helping the poor became his passion and he spent his life preaching and providing relief to the poor.
We also found out about the mission group and religious group he set up which were charities to help the poor.
After finding out about St Vincent De Paul we spent some time working on our sketching skills in Art and used a HB grade of pencil to sketch this special saint. We practised our shading skills looking carefully at a portrait of him.
We enjoyed learning about St Vincent De Paul and his inspiring work!
