This term the children have enjoyed learning about the WWII concept Make Do and Mend. Due to the strict WWII rationing system, the government advised people on how to mend their clothes and furnishings and encouraged all families to ‘make do’ with what they already had. In addition to this, Year 6 have also been learning about how children were encouraged to create their own entertainment. This week in Design and Technology the children were taught basic hand sewing stitches which they are using to create their own WWII board games.
This was really fun
It was so much fun to create our own games!
