As you are aware, St.Vincent Street has been closed to traffic for some time. This is to support the safety of our pupils and to try and reduce air pollution. As part of the Leader of the Council’s commitment to improve air quality, all education establishments that cater for the ages between 5 and 18 years old have been provided with a Don’t Be Idle Banner to place on our school railings to remind drivers/riders to not idle outside your premises. We have hung this today on the hoarding facing Cramer Street to remind drivers of the importance of turning off their engines and not being idle.
