We have been learning all about healthy eating in year 2. We learned all about balanced meals and what they should include. As part of our learning we planned healthy wraps. Here we created a recipe, choose ingredient and identified what additional materials were needed. This week we took time to actually create the wraps in school. Our wraps had a variety of healthy treats in them. First of all we started with a healthy wholemeal wrap then came the delicious toppings. We had a choice between cucumber, tomato, avocado, cheese, lettuce and radish. We spread the toppings and rolled the wrap up tight. We even had the opportunity to eat our delicious creations. Finally we took time to evaluate our wraps based on taste, smell and appearance. We even rated each individual ingredient.

Challenge: Mr. Sheehan challenges to put your new found wrap making skills to the test as home. Create a wrap with whatever fillings you like, then take a picture and send it into the office and we can share it with the class. Make sure to do all of this with an adult’s permission and supervision.
